Graduate Student Association

The Graduate Student Association of the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power (TPL) was established in 2000. It is a mass organization for postgraduate self-education, self-management, self-service and self-supervision. It is the main bridge and link between the laboratory and the majority of students. It is also an important aspect of respecting the principal position of graduate students and improving the internal structure of the laboratory.

The purpose of the lab graduate association is to serve the central work of the laboratory, to serve the growth of graduate students, to guide students' thinking, to build a good style of study, to enrich after-school life, and to safeguard the rights and interests of students. The lab postgraduate association is now composed of the presidium, office, activity department and publicity department, with a total of 30 people (as of November 2020). With the cooperation of various departments, more than 20 excellent activities such as laboratory open day, inspirational forum, Jinghua classroom, guiding job seekers, and Freshmen’s sports and sports have been formed, and won the "top 10 graduate conferences" of Southwest Jiaotong University in 2015, 2016 and 2019.

Tour Group

The Tour Group of TPL was established in 2019. It is a student organization based on the development needs, expanding the laboratory’s internal and external publicity, explaining, receiving, serving teachers and students, and actively expanding the comprehensive quality of graduate students.

The Tour Group is now composed of the presidium, the interpretation department and the publicity department, with a total of 13 people (as of November 2020). With the cooperation of various departments, we have carried out such services as visiting and explaining the freshmen’s laboratory, visiting and explaining brother colleges and departments, and visiting and explaining various primary and secondary schools.
